Accessibility statement

Last updated : 1 October 2026

This English text is for information only. The Dutch version is legally authoritative. Toegankelijkheidsverklaring

In short

  • This statement is voluntary: three people on the team, not a public body.
  • We aim the site at WCAG 2.2 level AA and do not claim a certification mark.
  • Known limits: session photos are atmosphere shots, and the waterfront building has not been audited for wheelchair access.
  • Report a barrier via [email protected]; we reply within 2 working days.
  • The Dutch text is authoritative; English is an informative translation.

1. Who publishes this document

Claviforge B.V. publishes this statement for the website claviforge.click and for visits to the recording studio at Danzigerkade 78, 1013 AP Amsterdam. Contact: [email protected], 020 244 1836. Opening hours: Tuesday–Friday 10:00–20:00, Saturday 11:00–18:00. Closed Sunday and Monday.

The team is three people: Maarten de Vries, Fleur Bakker and Jonas Meijer. The European Accessibility Act (Directive (EU) 2019/882), implemented in the Netherlands by the Act implementing accessibility requirements for products and services, leaves micro-enterprises that provide services outside the hard duty. We still publish this text so you know what does and does not hold. It is not a certificate and not a full conformity claim.

2. The framework we follow

For the site we use WCAG 2.2 level AA as a guide, together with the related European standard EN 301 549. We check with a keyboard, with a screen reader on a common operating system, and with contrast tools. No external audit has been commissioned and we claim no mark.

The site is static HTML and CSS, without a heavy application layer. Pages have a skip link to the content, a visible focus, captions on photographs and headings in a logical order. Legal pages, including this text, the privacy policy and the cookie policy, are written in plain language and open with a short summary.

3. What we have done on the site

  • Text and interactive elements take AA contrast as a floor.
  • Fields on the contact page have visible labels; the legal consent line sits next to the send button.
  • The cookie banner can be reached with a keyboard and offers three equal actions; see article 4 of the cookie policy.
  • Images have a short, factual caption. Decorative details get an empty or descriptive alternative, not a marketing line.
  • No autoplaying sound, no flashing ads, no information that exists only as an image of text.
  • Bilingual pages (Dutch and English) carry a language attribute on each language version.

Session help, for example preparing a vocal take or reading a mix budget, lives in the guides as ordinary HTML, not as a scanned leaflet.

4. Known limits

We know these limits and will work through them when we rebuild pages:

  • Atmosphere photographs of the live room, the booths and the waterfront are documentary or generated images; they show mood, not a technical plan of steps or circulation.
  • Rate tables, such as €48 per hour of Rehearsal room or €98 per master track, are HTML tables. On a narrow screen you may need to scroll sideways.
  • External help pages from browsers or from the Dutch Data Protection Authority sit outside our code.
  • We have not had the site tested by an independent accessibility lab; visitor feedback therefore matters more.

If you find a barrier that is not listed here, write to us. We will add it to this list until it is fixed.

5. The studio on Danzigerkade

The workplace is in a former harbour building in Amsterdam-Noord, 3 rooms: a 42 m² live room, 2 isolation booths and a control room. A session holds at most 6 guests. We have not had the building surveyed for wheelchair access and we do not promise a lift or a step-free route. If you need a threshold noted, a quiet arrival, a place to rest or extra time, say so when you book. We then look at what this building can actually do, without promising something we have not checked.

Public transport or bike: From Amsterdam Centraal, take metro line 52 (North/South) towards Noord and get off at Noorderpark. Walk about 8 minutes west along Danzigerkade; the studio is at number 78 on the waterfront. By bike from Centraal it is roughly 15 minutes via the IJ Tunnel. A map link is on contact and on OpenStreetMap. Parking and driving along the quay can be busy; after confirmation we send a short practical note.

6. Feedback

Report an inaccessible page, a form that stalls or a problem in the building via [email protected] or 020 244 1836. Name the page or the room, the browser or assistive tools you use, and what you expected. We reply within 2 working days and say what we can or cannot change. Formal GDPR requests follow the one-month period in the privacy policy, article 9.

7. Oversight and next steps

For digital consumer services the Netherlands Authority for Consumers and Markets supervises the European accessibility rules. Information: acm.nl. For personal data the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens remains competent: autoriteitpersoonsgegevens.nl. Please write to us first; a complaint to a supervisor stays open if we cannot resolve it together.

8. Drafting and review

This statement was written by the Claviforge team, not by an external inspection body. Effective date: 1 October 2026. Last reviewed: 1 October 2026. We revise the text when the site or the building changes in a material way, and at least when we update the other legal pages. Company details: legal notice. Booking or questions: contact or about us.
